The story of the Royvon family begins with Darren James’ grandfather, Will John. Will taught his son Roy how to care for a German shepherd. Roy was particularly interested in this breed of dog, and this hobby also rubbed off on his wife, Yvonne. The two decided to follow this dream. In 1959, they bought land in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. And just like that, Royvon was born.
Darren James took over the family business at the age of 16 and brought it on board and the training program so that dogs of all breeds and temperaments can be trained at Royvon. This transformation has brought great success to Royvon, making it a leader in the European pet industry. Royvon's achievements have been widely recognized in the industry.
In 2023, Royvon was rated as a front-end enterprise in the pet daycare and accommodation industry. On November 9, it won the annual "Kennel Title" awarded by the British Pet Industry Federation (PIF) and was recently awarded the "Family Business of the Year" award by the SME Award.
