Surprisingly, even today, a significant portion of pet cat and dog food is still predominantly composed of this cereal-based kibble, lacking sufficient meat content.

This situation has deprived pet cats and dogs of the opportunity to truly savor the deliciousness of fresh meat over the past 70 years. The original intention behind the invention of pet dry food by the cereal merchant was to address a specific historical issue, but it inadvertently led to the widespread use of dry kibble, limiting pets' access to fresh, meat-centric diets.
